POLICY FOR NEW CLIENTS AS OF 01-01-2017
TO RECEIVE SERVICE, ON THE FIRST VISIT YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS
All adults (18 & older) must be present at application intake unless they work!

  • Current GA Picture ID(s) for everyone in the household age 18 & older 
  • Proof of INCOME for everyone in the household - last 4 consecutive weeks – all documents must be CURRENT
        Pay Stubs 
        Social Security Income Award Letters 
        SSI & Disability Income Award Letters 
        Veteran's Benefits Award Letters 
        Retirement Benefits 
        Unemployment Award Letters 
        Food Stamps Award Letters 
        Child Support (Proof you are receiving)

Paulding Adult Education Center Information

Students may register for Paulding Center ABE and GED® preparation classes in the Paulding Student Services office on: Monday - Thursday from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

    How to Register
    For admission into the Adult Basic Education and GED® preparation classes you must do the following:

    Fill out a registration form. State-issued ID and Social Security Card are preferred, but please check with the education center for other acceptable documents. Students must be 16 years of age or older to attend Adult Basic Education and GED® preparation classes.  It is mandatory that all students who are 16 and 17 years of age take the preparation classes before registering for the GED® test.  All 16 and 17 year old students are also required to present a withdrawal form from the last school attended and must schedule a counselor appointment in order to register.
    Receive an appointment to that the TABE placement exam (a 2 day test).
    Attend an orientation session; receive test results and class placement.
    Begin classes at the next available quarter.

    Admission Testing (TABE)
    The TABE admissions test is required for all students who register and wish to attend the Adult Education program.  This test evaluates reading, math, and language skills and is necessary for accurate class placement.  Upon completion of registration, a student is assigned his/her test dates.  This test is offered both mornings and evenings.  Students must attend both days, Monday and Wednesday, in the same week.  Testing is scheduled, mornings from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. or evenings from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.Upon completion of the test on Wednesday, the student receives his/her test results and participates in an orientation program.
